Critical infrastructure expertise that works the way you do.

    CybersecurityNetworkSystemsCloud

We design, run, and secure the networks, systems, and programs that keep the lights on and the plants running, from the data center to the control room.

    The problems we solve

You handle the day to day. We handle the hard stuff.

Most MSPs run the same playbook on every client. We don't. Whether you've got a full IT team or you're running without one, we bring specialist depth to the problems that don't fit the day-to-day, and we work within your existing structure.

    Lack of Time

The project that never reaches the top.

We take on the big projects your team never gets time to start, and take them to the finish line.

    Lack of Skills

The expertise you don't need full-time.

You bring us in for the hard stuff: advanced networking, OT and ICS security, cybersecurity programs. We handle both planning and execution.

    Supplemental Capacity

When the stakes spike, you need backup.

When a deadline can't move or an incident can't wait, we bring in senior people who already know your environment.

    How we work

We consult, we execute, and we share our notes.

We design and build alongside your team, every step of the way. We don't lock your infrastructure inside our own ecosystem or keep the documentation to ourselves. The diagrams, the configs, the reasoning behind every decision: it's your infrastructure, so the knowledge stays with you.

"I think the biggest benefit is just having peace of mind. Not that we aren't going to have issues, or things aren't going to break, but the partner that we have in LightChange is just very quick to respond."

    Frequently Asked Questions.

LightChange does. We're a critical-infrastructure security and IT firm with Kentucky roots, working with the utilities, co-ops, municipalities, water authorities, ISPs, and manufacturers that communities depend on. We've done this work since 2004 for clients across the continental US.
We do. LightChange runs cybersecurity programs, network infrastructure, and OT security for critical-infrastructure operators across the continental US: electric systems, water authorities, city and county governments, ISPs, and manufacturers.
Most MSPs run the same playbook on every client and keep your infrastructure locked inside their own tools. We specialize in critical infrastructure, we work alongside your team and inside your structure, and we hand over the documentation and the reasoning so you're never locked in.
Your team stays in charge. We work alongside them and take on the specialized projects and problems that are hard to staff for full-time, and we share what we learn so your team comes out stronger.
Probably not the way it used to be. The fully isolated OT network is mostly a thing of the past. Remote access, cloud telemetry, vendor connections, smart meters, and cellular backup all open paths between your operational systems and the outside world, and most of them were never fully mapped. Finding and closing those gaps is the work.
Yes. On a plant floor, IT and OT have usually already converged, which means a security gap can stop a line. We handle segmentation, monitoring, and incident response for manufacturers, and we work around production instead of shutting it down.
We'd rather earn your business than lock it in. We steer away from long contracts unless a project genuinely calls for one, because we'd rather keep proving our value than rely on paperwork to keep you. Most of our clients have stayed with us more than a decade, by choice.
An Infrastructure Review is a scoped look at your networks, systems, and security to find the gaps that matter and what to do about them. It's how a lot of our engagements start, and you get a clear picture whether or not you work with us further.

What's stuck on the whiteboard? Let's talk.

Maybe it's a network that can't afford to go down, an OT environment you can't see into, or a security program that's all tools and no plan. Whatever's on the board, tell us what you're working on and you'll talk it through with an engineer, not a sales person.
